Don’t forget to always check the Match Committee’s whiteboard for scheduled play information. Our handbook is a guide only and with the number of rained off days we have had so far this season it is very hard for the Match Committee to reschedule these games. Please cooperate with them.
We are having a change to our Thursday night raffles. As our chicken raffles are not selling so well we now still have 2 draws but 1 will be 100 tickets and the other 50 tickets (with 5 draws). The price remains at $1.00 per ticket. We will also be introducing a new meat 50 ticket pack raffle with 5 draws. There will be a limit of 2 pre-booked numbers per person to give more people a chance to enter in the raffle.

Some quotes on Getting old:
· Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened.
· If I’d known I was going to live this long, I’d have taken better care of myself
· Growing old is like being increasingly penalized for a crime you have not committed.
· As you get older three things happen. The first is your memory goes, and I can’t remember the other two.
· Aging seems to be the only available way to live a long life.
· Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
· Just remember, once you’re over the hill you begin to pick up speed

Petone Central Bowling Club came into being in June 2008 as a result of the merger between two former Clubs — the Petone Bowling Club and the Central Bowling Club. Both Clubs were well established in the Petone area with the Petone Bowling Club being inaugurated in 1897 and the Central Bowling Club in 1917.
