Thank you to club members for bringing your empty Egg Cartons in.  The Food Bank is greatly appreciative of receiving these so please bring them into the Club and Yvonne will collect them and deliver them to the Bank.

Daylight Savings ends this weekend 1-2 April so don’t forget to put your clocks back 1 hour before going to bed Sat night.

Our AGM will be held at the end of June.  Nomination forms and Expression of Interest forms will be on the noticeboards over the next 2-3 weeks.  Please give serious consideration to being nominated.  Without a viable Committee our Club cannot survive.

If you have had a change of phone number or change of address please let us know as we will also be starting preparation for the next Season’s Handbook.

Trivia:

  • A penny saved is obviously the result of a government oversight.
  • Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft. Today it’s called golf!
  • The older you get the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have become really good friends!
  • The sole purpose of a child’s middle name is so that he can tell when he’s ‘really’ in trouble!
  • If you can smile when things go wrong, you must have someone else in mind to blame!

About Us

Petone Central Bowling Club came into being in June 2008 as a result of the merger between two former Clubs — the Petone Bowling Club and the Central Bowling Club. Both Clubs were well established in the Petone area with the Petone Bowling Club being inaugurated in 1897 and the Central Bowling Club in 1917.
